The latest episode of NCMB’s podcast, MedBoard Matters, presents the second part of a two-part series on 2019 changes to state law that established new reporting obligations for NCMB licensees.

The current episode details mandated licensee reporting of “prescribing misconduct” by another licensee of the Board and highlights NCMB’s efforts to encourage appropriate opioid prescribing by helping to create new continuing medical education on the topic.

Part One explored the licensee duty to report sexual misconduct by other licensees to NCMB and offered guidance on how to determine when a situation rises to the level where the reporting obligation might be triggered.
