The Board voted in March to restructure the group that advises NCMB on matters related to physician assistants to allow greater input from PAs practicing in North Carolina. The body formerly known as the Physician Assistant Advisory Council (PAAC) will now be known as the Physician Assistant Advisory Meeting (PAAM). The PAAM will report its business to the Board through the Advanced Practice Providers and Allied Health Committee. The PAAM will meet twice a year, in March and September. Meetings are open to any PA who is interested in attending. The Board will continue its practice of engaging with PA stakeholders and organizations before each meeting to solicit agenda items and topics for discussion.
