If the “Medical Board” calls demanding information, be suspicious
NCMB has recently heard from physicians who have received telephone calls from individuals claiming to be investigators with the North Carolina Medical Board. The callers typically push the licensee to release bank account information or personal identifiers such as social security number or date of birth.
Do not be fooled - such calls are not legitimate.
