NCMB has approved revisions to four position statements since the May 2024 Board Meeting. Position statements are developed by the Board to provide licensees with interpretive statements that define or explain the meaning of laws or rules that govern the practice of medicine in North Carolina. They also are intended to establish criteria or guidelines that are used by Board staff who conduct investigations and who are involved in the prosecution or settlement of cases.
