There are just two more days to offer feedback on a proposed position statement that offers guidance on defusing conflicts that may arise with patients, family members or others.
The proposed position statement, a draft of which was tentatively approved at NCMB’s January Board Meeting, addresses an emerging concern affecting medical professionals. NCMB's 2023 Licensee Survey found that nearly one in three licensees surveyed had either witnessed or been involved in a violent incident with patients within the last year.
The Board will accept feedback on the proposed position statement, “Conflicts in Healthcare Settings”, through the close of business hours on Friday, March 1.
