Is your complaint about an MD, DO, PA, LP, AA, or *NP?

Please Note: Under North Carolina law, the North Carolina Medical Board is authorized to investigate and discipline ONLY the following: Medical Doctors (MDs); Osteopathic Physicians (DOs); Physician Assistants (PAs); Perfusionists (LPs); Anesthesiology Assistants (AAs); and Nurse Practitioners (*NPs) only in some instances.

If your complaint is about a healthcare provider other than an MD, DO, PA, LP, AA, or *NP, you will need to file it with the appropriate licensing Board or regulatory body. The Board does not regulate and cannot investigate any of the professions below: 

Chiropractors; Dentists; Emergency Medical Techs; Psychologists or Counselors; Nurses, Optometrists; Pharmacists, Physical Therapists; Podiatrists; and Veterinarians.

Healthcare facilities & hospital systems: The Board has no authority over healthcare facilities, hospitals, nursing homes or the internal policies and procedures, or general staff of medical practices.
